How we obtain information
We obtain personal information directly from you when you join the waiting list, contact us, create an account or place an order; automatically when you use our website through cookies and similar technologies; and from providers acting for us, such as Shopify, payment providers, delivery businesses and fraud-prevention providers, where necessary to provide or protect a service.

Email waiting list and marketing
If you join the Lady Jasper waiting list, we collect your email address and any preferences you voluntarily provide. We use this information to send you requested launch news, product announcements and related Lady Jasper communications.
Our lawful basis is your consent. Joining the waiting list is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing a product. You can withdraw your consent at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting info@ladyjasper.com.
We retain a record of when and how consent was obtained. If you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum information required on a suppression list so that we can respect your request and avoid sending further marketing.
How we share personal information
Lady Jasper Ltd does not sell, rent or disclose customer or waiting-list information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share personal information only where reasonably necessary to operate our business, provide services requested by you or comply with the law. This may include limited sharing with:
- Shopify, which hosts and operates our online store;
- payment providers that securely process payments;
- manufacturers, fulfilment providers, couriers and delivery companies where necessary to prepare and deliver an order;
- email-service providers used to manage the Lady Jasper waiting list and communications;
- professional advisers and technology providers where reasonably necessary;
- regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where disclosure is legally required; and
- a purchaser or successor if Lady Jasper is involved in a sale, merger, restructuring or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
These organisations may use the information only for the relevant service, their applicable legal responsibilities or as otherwise explained in their own privacy information. We require providers acting on our behalf to handle personal information securely and only for authorised purposes.
We will not provide waiting-list or customer information to another organisation so that it can market unrelated products or services to you.
Shopify
Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information needed to provide our website, checkout, payment, security and related store services. Shopify may use authorised service providers and may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom, subject to applicable data-protection safeguards.
Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. This means Shopify may securely use customer information together with information from other Shopify services to improve Shopify products and to provide advertising targeting and personalisation for our store, as described in Shopify's Additional Services Terms. Other Shopify merchants cannot see Lady Jasper customer information.
Lady Jasper does not independently sell, rent or provide customer or waiting-list information to unrelated organisations for their own marketing. Shopify may act independently when you choose to use a separate Shopify consumer service, such as Shop or Shop Pay. Information about Shopify's processing and the privacy rights available to you is provided in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
International processing
Lady Jasper Ltd is based in the United Kingdom. Some necessary service providers, including Shopify and providers supporting payments, hosting, communications, fulfilment or delivery, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
We do not send customer information to an unrelated international organisation for its own marketing purposes. Where information is processed outside the United Kingdom, this is limited to what is necessary to operate our store, fulfil orders, communicate with customers or meet legal obligations.
Where required, international processing is protected by an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses or another legally recognised safeguard. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
Third-party websites and links
Our website may link to services operated by other organisations. Following a link does not mean Lady Jasper gives that organisation your waiting-list, order or customer information. The other organisation may collect information directly when you visit its service, and its own privacy and cookie terms will apply.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website, checkout, security and preferences to work. Where required, we ask for consent before using non-essential analytics or advertising technologies. You can manage available choices through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
How long we keep information
- Waiting-list information is kept until you unsubscribe, the waiting list ends or continued retention is no longer justified. We review inactive waiting-list records at least every 24 months.
- Marketing suppression information may be retained for as long as needed to respect an unsubscribe request.
- Order, payment-confirmation, tax and accounting records are kept for the period required by law and for resolving disputes.
- Routine enquiries and customer-service communications are normally kept for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, unless a longer period is reasonably required.
- Security and technical logs are retained for limited periods determined by their security, diagnostic and legal purpose.
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements.
Security
We use proportionate organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information. These include restricting access, using password-protected systems, applying security updates, using reputable providers and protecting accounts with additional authentication where available. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so please do not send unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email or other insecure channels.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may ask for access to your personal information; correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; erasure in appropriate circumstances; restriction of particular processing; portability of certain information; or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may object at any time to direct marketing and may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise a right, email info@ladyjasper.com. We may request information reasonably needed to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month, although the law permits an extension in some circumstances.
Automated decisions
Lady Jasper does not currently make decisions about you based solely on automated processing where the decision has legal or similarly significant effects. Fraud-prevention providers may produce risk indicators, subject to applicable safeguards.
Children's information
Our waiting list and online store are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly invite children to provide personal information for marketing. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us and ask us to review or delete it.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, legal obligations or handling of personal information. We will publish the revised version, change the last-updated date and provide additional notice where required.
